Why invest

Six reasons NRIs choose DLF

India is among the world's fastest-growing major economies, and Gurugram is its corporate capital. DLF is the name behind the city's best addresses.

Earning in dirhams, dollars or pounds stretches your budget further when you invest in rupees.

  2. Rental income

Gurugram's corporate demand keeps DLF homes and offices leased to quality tenants.

  3. Long-term appreciation

DLF's Golf Course Road addresses are among the most valuable homes in India.

NRI guide

Questions NRIs ask us

General guidance only; rules change, so confirm with your bank and tax advisor.

Can an NRI buy property in India?

Yes. Under FEMA, Non-Resident Indians and Overseas Citizens of India can buy residential and commercial property in India without RBI approval. Agricultural land, plantations and farmhouses are not allowed.

How can NRIs pay for a DLF property?

Payments must be made in Indian rupees through normal banking channels: inward remittance from abroad, or from an NRE, NRO or FCNR account in India. Payment in foreign currency cash or traveller's cheques is not allowed.

Can I take the money back when I sell?

Sale proceeds can be repatriated within limits: for property bought with foreign funds, up to the amount brought in, for up to two residential properties; and up to US$ 1 million per financial year from an NRO account, subject to taxes and documentation.

Do I need to visit India to buy?

No. We share live video walkthroughs, and the booking, agreement and registration can be completed through a registered Power of Attorney in India.

Can NRIs get a home loan?

Yes. Major Indian banks and housing finance companies offer home loans to NRIs, usually up to 75–80% of the property value, repaid from NRE/NRO accounts.

What taxes apply when an NRI sells?

The buyer deducts TDS on the sale value, and capital gains tax applies depending on how long you held the property. A lower-TDS certificate can be applied for; we connect you with tax advisors.
